The winner of MISS FLORIDA USA® will advance to the nationally televised competition of MISS USA® and the winner of MISS FLORIDA TEEN USA® will advance to MISS TEEN USA® competition. Click on "APPLY NOW" link on the main menu (above) and follow the easy steps for this coming year of competition. There is NO fee required to apply. Once your application is received, it is be reviewed by a selection committee which can take up to 10 business days. You will be sent an email either way, but if approved, you’ll also be contacted by a staff member. For many girls this was the start of a fabulous career in beauty, fashion, acting, modeling, spokes modeling, public relations, marketing and more!

The Opportunity of a Lifetime
The WINNER will be Florida’s representative in the MISS TEEN USA® Competition or MISS USA® Competition who then goes on to compete in the MISS UNIVERSE® Competition as seen on FYI! The Miss USA Organization award the new Miss Teen USA a $25,000+ cash scholarship to be applied to continuing education tuition or other education expenses (books, etc.) at an institution of her choice.
FITNESS, EVENING GOWN, INTERVIEW
Wardrobe Specifications
You will need an evening gown, an interview appropriate outfit and either a swim suit (Miss) or an atheisure outfit (Teen) along with casual clothes for rehearsals, and one dress for the opening number introductions. Once you are a registered contestant, any and all questions regarding wardrobe appropriateness can be directed to the Wardrobe Mistress.
SCORING: 3 EQUAL COMPETITION PHASES: FITNESS, EVENING GOWN, INTERVIEW.
1/3 Fitness, 1/3 Evening Gown, 1/3 Interview
The scores from the preliminary phase are totaled, and the contestants with the highest composite scores advance to the semi-finals. The semi-finalists compete on stage in athletic wear/swimsuit, and evening gown and a Top 5 is selected by the same methodology. An on-stage question is posed to each finalist by the host, and the judges make their selections for Winner, 1rst Runner-Up, 2nd Runner-Up, 3rd Runner-up, 4th Runner-Up.
ATHLETIC WEAR/SWIMSUIT
Each contestant is evaluated on her physical fitness, stage-presence, and overall impression.
EVENING GOWN
Each contestant is evaluated on grace, poise, style, stage presence, the confidence with which she carries herself, and overall-impression.
INTERVIEW
Preliminary interviews are comfortable and conversational. Contestants are scored on their communication skills, and personality.
